The homework which is due for tomorrow is:
  • Remember to study for the Syllabus Quiz!
  • Read pages 420-424 in the NFG (on plagiarism).
  • Read the PDF on Plagiarism available HERE.
  • Come to class with any questions you might have and prepared to discuss plagiarism (time permitting).

Both sections 002 and 013 will be canceled tomorrow, Tuesday, January 11th.

The daily schedule will now be somewhat off -- however, you should still plan on turning in your take-home diagnostic on Thursday and still be prepared for a Syllabus Quiz on Friday.

Enjoy the morning off!

While NCSU has canceled classes after 5 p.m. for Monday the 10th, they have yet to reach a decision regarding Tuesday's classes. Check back later for more details!

While there is no homework for tomorrow's class (Tuesday, January 11th) regardless of the weather, you do  have an assignment due at the beginning of class on Thursday, January 13th. The full instructions, as well as a detailed description, can be found in the "Take-Home Diagnostic" document on the Unit I Page. (The "In-Class Diagnostic" is for in-class purposes only.) Please note that this assignment requires you to have a copy of the Norton Field Guide (which will be abbreviated NFG on most course documents). You will read pages 24-34 in the NFG and write a short, informal essay -- about 2-4 typewritten pages, double-spaced.

Please remember that this essay will be due at the beginning of class on Thursday, January 13th whether or not we have class on Tuesday!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
